CCO family,
We have become alarmed with the spread of the Coronavirus within our country, county, and church within the last month. In our efforts to prevent the spreading of this virus we will be suspending all church activities (Sunday school, Wednesday nights, Youth Groups, Children’s Church, etc.) except for Sunday morning worship services, effective immediately, for the month of January. It is our hope that this will give the virus less opportunities to spread. Additionally, we will be mandating masks for the 8:30 worship service indefinitely. That means anyone coming to the 8:30 worship service needs to wear a mask while entering, exiting, and socializing in the building. Once you are in your seat you may remove your mask. This applies to anyone that is five years old and upward. This should be viewed positively as it will create an environment for some members who haven’t attended for months to feel that they can coexist with us again, as well as any visitors we may receive. Remember that this is a temporary change and the situation remains fluid. Please be respectful and prayerful over this change that it may produce opportunities for even more people to hear the gospel and participate in corporate worship services. Paul the Apostle said “I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.” (1 Corinthians 9:22-23) May we all eagerly make that our aim as we advance the Kingdom of God together in Richland County.
United in Christ,
CCO Eldership & CCO Senior Minister
